MRP Broadband Study notes from City of Hoyt Lakes

  1. Our " Business Technology Assessment" event will be January 21-22. Our assessment team of Sandy Plante (Frontier), Tom Bordwell (Mediacom), Jim Scott (Practicial Management Systems), and Curt Anttila (East Range Joint Powers Board) will make site visits to manufacturers and financial institutions, and will meet with the retailers, as a group, who have shown an interest in participating.

  2. Technology Fair - will be held in early February. Open to the public, will give demonstrations at different computer stations on how to use the internet for: on-line banking, on-line shopping, checking investments, performing searches, general email (attachments, etc.), instant messenger and video communications, and downloading upgrades, etc.. Intent is to inform the general public of how broadband can benefit them.
