TRAINING 'KEY' INFORMATION
For New Horizons Integrated Learning Web Site

Bird Island has been selected to be one of only 9 cities to be a part of a grant project called Minnesota Rural Broadband Project. Along with this, the city will be given a free month of access to a spectacular training site by New Horizons Computer Learning Center.

A 7 day temporary demo is allowed for users to review the web site before the actual 30 day time period arrives. Once you have registered on the www.newhorizons.com web site you can use this 7 day demo key to navigate through ALL areas of the web site. You can take classes and make use of the whole web site during this time period.

Once you have logged onto the New Horizons web site,
On the main home page once you've logged in, you can click on 'training key'
Or
If you go to the button called "Learn" and select 'enter training key'
that is where you would type in the following 7 day demo key:

demo-gvs32-4v44

upper or lower case letters will work. Use the dashes.

Once you've typed that key it then 'remembers' it by attaching it to your e-mail log in so you shouldn't need to enter it again.

I think we found most of the 'heart' of the courses and online classes to be found under a menu choice called "Learn", then 'Catalog'. Then when browsing the catalog, once you find the course you want to take and double click the course, your screen will then show you the detail info about the course. Watch the top right hand side of your screen, under 'Tasks'. For on-line anytime classes you should then be able to click on 'Register' to get into the online class.

If you 'browse the catalog' watch the symbols as there are some actual courses that are not on the internet, but are classes that need to be attended. Watch for the 'online anytime' symbols, those are the classes that are available on the internet. If you go through the links to the 'Online Anytime Libraries', ALL of these courses are available online thru the internet.

The March 1-31st time period will use the following training key code:

bfit-cs3fs-esne
